There are a lot of extremely awesome tools out there to help make your life as an entrepreneur infinitely easier. We’ve been using quite a few tools since we started our business(es) and today we’ll share a few of our favorites with you. These 5 useful tools for entrepreneurs will save you time, make your work better or will help you grow your business.
Our Favorite Useful Tools For Entrepreneurs
We schedule most of our social posts for Twitter, Facebook and Instagram in Hootsuite. This helps us save a lot of time because we don’t have to pay as much attention to social media every day. We spent one day a week preparing the social media posts for the week ahead and then just have to check our accounts to reply to comments and engage with our audience.
However, our favorite Hootsuite feature is that they track your analytics so you can easily see which posts are performing the best and if (and how much) you are growing. This makes it so much easier to adjust our social strategy along the way.
If you’re ready to get serious about your social media strategy, Hootsuite is definitely the way to go.
We love Pinterest A LOT. We create new Pins for our blog posts daily and are really working on our strategy to get as many views as we can. Pinterest is fun, but it is also a lot of work. That’s where Tailwind* comes in!
Tailwind is an awesome scheduler for your Pins that will post your Pins according to a personalized schedule based on when your audience is most active. It’s key to Pin quite a bit daily (about 25-50 times a day), so scheduling your Pins is definitely going to save you a lot of time during your workdays.
Another amazing feature that Tailwind offers is their Tribes. They are free to use, so don’t hesitate to join our Tribe: Purpose-driven Entrepreneurs & Bloggers. (If you don’t use Tailwind yet, you also get a free month of Tailwind plus if you join! We also get a referral credit for this.) Tribes will help you connect with other people in your niche and you’ll grow faster together by Pinning each other’s posts.
Whether you write blog posts, business text, copy for your website or just a lot of emails, Grammarly* will help you correct your spelling and grammatical mistakes on the go. It works as a browser extension or as an app on your laptop and will detect it instantly when you make a mistake or typo. Leaving spelling mistakes in your texts looks sloppy and unprofessional, so Grammarly is a must-have for your business. It’s free to use, but depending on your needs, they also have a premium version.
As I mentioned, we create a lot of graphics for Pinterest and social media. Canva is a great online program that helps you make the most beautiful graphics for all your business needs. They provide lots of beautiful templates that you can alter to fit your branding and it’s really simple to use.
Here are a few examples of graphics we have made using Canva:
Last but not least, we love using Trello to organize our projects. You can create boards for each project and add lists to that and then you add cards with tasks on them to the list. Trello gives you a clear overview of your project and is very flexible. You can design your boards to be exactly what you need. You can also add deadlines, assign certain cards to other members on the team, add pictures and leave comments under each card. This makes Trello great for group projects!
I hope these 5 useful tools for entrepreneurs will be as game-changing for you as they are for us! What other tools do you love to use for your business? Let us know in the comments.
